Our California drug rehab program clients who elect to participate in the Celebrate a New Life program will attend specially designed workshops based on “Life’s Healing Choices: Freedom From Your Hurts, Hang-Ups, and Habits".
As Pastor John Baker states: “We’ve all been hurt by other people, we’ve hurt ourselves, and we’ve hurt others. And as a result, every single one of us ends up with some sort of hurt, hang-up, or habit. But the question we all face is, Where do we go from here?”
Christian alcoholism treatment clients and those seeking drug addiction help can elect to go right into the many healing workshops offered in our Celebrate A New Life program. Each workshop is facilitated by a Christian Counselor. The Healing Choices workshops compliment each client’s individual one–on-one counseling sessions. This counseling time is spent assisting each client in assessing and identifying all of their specific needs, concerns, and issues, then developing a treatment plan to deal with them appropriately.
The Christian Counselor and client will, so to speak, "peel away the layers of the onion" to address and get to those deeper core issues. Step-by-step, with biblically based counseling, real answers, real hope, and a real future are offered.

Life's Healing Choices offers freedom from our hurts, hang-ups, and habits through eight healing choices that promise true happiness and life transformation.
In addition to practical, encouraging biblical teaching, each group session will include two real-life stories of men and women whose lives have been transformed by living out the eight choices shared in group.
Through making each of these choices, you, too, will find God’s pathway to wholeness, growth, spiritual maturity, happiness, and healing. You’ll find real answers, real hope, and a real future-one healing choice at a time.

Sometimes the painful experiences and feelings of childhood, adolescence, or a life lived during our addiction may be endlessly recreated throughout our adulthood, we play tapes over and over in our mind, making, anger, insomnia, depression, worry, fear, and future addiction pass on from one generation to another.
Celebrate a New Life is a Bible-based approach to emotional healing for anyone who has grown up in a dysfunctional family or addiction/alcoholism. The purpose of Life's Healing Choices workshops is designed to help you discover and face your hurts, hang-ups, and habits for perhaps the first time in your life.
Questions for reflection and writing assignments make the recovery process personal and powerful. The goal of Life's Healing Choices group is not simply to help hurting people recover from past sins and hurts.
The goal is to teach our client's to make the healing choices that will help them to become Christ like in character. We begin this journey to healing by admitting our need. In the very first beatitude, Jesus said, "God blesses those who realize their need for him" (Mathew 5:3 NLT)
