More about the Intervention Process
The Good News, our Christian Interventions have a solid success rate. The process is designed not only to have our loved one enter treatment the day of the intervention, but to also protect and enhance the long-term nature of family relationships, while at the same time removing the addiction from controlling and hurting the family.
- The process begins with a telephone call to Bobby Nicholl, a Nationally Certified Interventionist. Mr. Nicholl will ask you a series of questions designed to help break the isolation of dealing one-on-one with the substance abuser.
- A plan is developed to reach out to as many concerned family members and friends as possible and to set up a face-to-face meeting, known as the pre-intervention. At the pre-intervention Mr. Nicholl will come to your location and guide the group, step-by-step on strategies to counter the substance abusers denial and resistance.
- During the pre-intervention ground rules are discussed and developed. We will help you verbalize specific concerns as related to your loved one's drug or alcohol use.
- Effective communication techniques are taught, ground rules are established and all of the hypothetical are discussed, thus alleviating all of the “what ifs”.
- Celebrate a New Life Interventions are conducted from a point of support and empathy. We are not there to belittle or judge your loved one. We prefer the term, "lovefrontation" instead of a confrontation. The purpose is to express, in love and truth, your concerns, worries, and hopes for your loved one.
